To me social design is coming up with new and useful ideas that improve the lives and world in which we live. Social design is about being aware of the negative issues going on in the world, and creating some kind of positive change through the creative process of design. Things as complex as changing the trade market or as simple as creating a tool that help people living in third world countries are all part of the process. Social Design is about communication with others all over the world through social networks on the internet, or even just talking to your neighbor right next door. This type of design can stretch out to all aspects of life, and I think this is why social design is becoming so exciting for people all over the world.
